Facing the unique and beautiful beach of Mavrovounio, probably the finest in Lakonia, next to Gytheio, is located our newly constructed establishment Elaianthos.

An imposing stone built two story building, constructed in the Mani tower architectural style, gazing at the sea in front of the shores. Our accommodation comprises of six single- spaced studios with separate entrance and an unrestricted view of the sea and in the distance the islands of Kythira and Elafonisos are visible. Our visitors looking towards the west can enjoy the mountains of Mani and the enchanting mountain range of Taygetos, whereas in the east they can observe the beautiful settlement of Mavrovounio with the castle of Goula situated at its top. At night you can gaze up in the sky over Gytheio where celestial objects are uniquely observed. This sky provided us with the idea of naming all the apartments of Elaianthos in Kalamata, Mavrovouni and Mavrovouni beach after these constellations. These constellations will keep you company as you enjoy your drinks on your balconies at night.

The Elaianthos accommodation on the beach is situated in a fenced fifteen-acre olive grove and is connected by road which passes through our other establishment which is in the Mavrovounio plain.

Our guests can enjoy food and drinks at the restaurants and bars at the beach or within three minutes by car they can be in beautiful Gytheio.

Our location is ideally situated for daily excursions in Mani, to its settlements, such as Areopoli, Oitylo, Gerolimena, medieval Vatheia, beautiful Diros cave complex and its intriguing coves. Day trips are also possible to unique Monemvasia, Neapoli and wonderful Elafonisos.
